In 1 Corinthians 12:27, Paul wrote to the church at Corinth, “Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.”
One of the first steps in being a faithful follower of Jesus is to become a vital member of a local church body. Here at KXC, we take membership in the local church seriously. That’s because we believe the church is called “the body of Christ” in the Bible for a reason—we are to be vitally and consciously committed to one another as fellow believers in Jesus, promising to share in one another’s joys, to bear each others’ burdens and sorrows, and to connect in authentic community as we seek to follow Jesus together. The Christian life is not a solo effort, but a team sport and a family.
Do you consider KXC your home church? Do you want to know what it means to be a part of the church family? If so, we would love for you to join us at our Membership Matters class. Attending this class doesn’t automatically make you a member; it simply provides the information you need to understand what membership is and why it matters. At the class we’ll cover:
- What are the biblical foundations of local church membership?
- Who is King’s Cross Church?
- What do we believe?
- Where are we headed?
- How can I participate?
Note: Childcare will not be provided for this class, so please make your own arrangements.
