Reflect Questions are designed to help you apply Sunday’s sermon to the everyday stuff of life. Prayerfully reflect on these questions throughout the week and consider discussing them with your home group.

This week’s questions:

1. Jesus called the Pharisees “hypocrites.” Why do you think he offers such a biting response to them? We’ve seen him be gentler to humble sinners but sharper with the hypocritcal self-righteous. What does that tell us about what Jesus is after?
2. What traditions are you prone to place over the word of God?
3. Read Mark 7:20-23. Do you you recognize anything of yourself in this list of what comes out of your heart? What does it look like to pursue spiritual health that includes the heart?
