Advent 2018

The Advent series is upon us! Hope is here!

What is advent, and is it different than Christmas?

“Advent” simply means arrival. The Advent season has been recognized by the church throughout the ages and is celebrated during the weeks leading up to Christmas.

The arrival of Jesus is exactly what we, as Christians, are celebrating during this holiday season. More than all the gifts and wonderful traditions, we are ultimately celebrating the good news that hope has stepped into our broken world through the Lord Jesus Christ.

This Advent season at KXC, we celebrate this historic reality: that King Jesus has come to defeat death and evil and will one day come again to renew all things.

This good news is ultimately what every human soul longs for.

An invitation to skeptics

What better time to consider the claims of Jesus and the Christian Scriptures than the one season a year you hear songs about Him everywhere you go?  The Advent season is a great time to explore who Jesus is, why He matters, and how He brings hope to our broken world.

We look forward to celebrating this joyous Christmas with you this Sunday!

Advent Sermon schedule:

  • Dec 2 // The Longing for Christmas
  • Dec 9 // The Truth of Christmas
  • Dec 16 // The Goodness of Christmas
  • Dec 23 // The Beauty of Christmas
