Reflect Questions
Spiritual Disciplines

Reflect Questions are designed to help you apply Sunday’s sermon to the everyday stuff of life. Prayerfully reflect on these questions throughout the week and consider discussing them with your home group.

This week’s questions:

  1. Jesus is not just after your eternal life, he’s also after your spiritual growth. As Paul Tripp says, “God will take you were you do not want to go in order to produce in you what you could not achieve on your own.” In what ways has God used suffering to “sanctify” you (encourage your spiritual growth)?
  2. Romans 8 tells us “If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?” How do these verses—coupled with the good news that God works through life’s storms to grow us—provide comfort for you?
  3. What are some spiritual disciplines you can do to encourage you to move beyond mere astonishment in the gospel to true and life-transforming faith in the gospel?
